Fortunately, the DC area’s bounty of teams means there are plenty of reasons to watch or attend games year round.

Capital One Arena is an indoor arena in Washington, D.C. Owned by Monumental Sports & Entertainment, it is the home arena of the Washington Capitals of the National Hockey League, the Washington Wizards

General Tips:

All guests are required to wear a shirt and shoes at all times for their own safety. Capital One Arena reserves the right to deny entry to guests wearing clothing displaying offensive text, content or images.

Guests are allowed to bring in point–and–shoot as well as SLR–type cameras. Video recording is strictly prohibited and video cameras, camcorders, Go Pros, and Contour cameras are not allowed. Monopods, tripods and selfie sticks are also not allowed at Capital One Arena.

Only bags that are smaller than 14 inches long, 14 inches tall and 6 inches wide are permitted at Capital One Arena and all bags will be searched upon entering the arena. Capital One Arena reserves the right to refuse items which may cause danger or disruption to the event or to other guests, or which are in breach of building policies and/or the list of prohibited items. Any guest who declines to be searched or is in possession of prohibited items may be denied entry or ejected from the facility. Please reference the Capital One Arena code of conduct.

Guests are permitted to exit and re-enter the building once the event has started.

Children 3 years and older require tickets to all concerts, basketball and hockey games, which includes the Washington Capitals, Washington Mystics, Washington Valor, Washington Wizards and the Georgetown Hoyas. Tickets for the Harlem Globetrotters are also needed for children 3 years and older. For Monster Jam and Disney on Ice events, children 2 years and older require a ticket.

Nationals Park

Nationals Park is a baseball park along the Anacostia River in the Navy Yard neighborhood of Washington, D.C. It is the home ballpark for the Washington Nationals, the city's Major League Baseball franchise.

General Tips:

For all Nationals home games, the Center Field Gate will open 2 hours prior to first pitch. Guests will have access to the Budweiser Brew House, select concession stands and select center field sections to watch batting practice. All other gates will open 1 1/2 hours prior to first pitch. For exhibition games, all gates will open 1 1/2 hours prior to first pitch. All gate opening times are subject to change.

Guests are permitted to bring cameras and video equipment into Nationals Park, provided that they are for personal use only. Cameras with a lens longer than eight (8) inches may not be brought into Nationals Park, except by credentialed media. Filming of any game footage is strictly prohibited by Major League Baseball. While taking photographs, guests are not permitted to stand in the aisles, portals or walkways, or to obstruct others from viewing the game. Monopods, tripods and selfie sticks are not permitted in Nationals Park.

No bags larger than 16"x16"x8" will be allowed into Nationals Park. All bags are subject to inspection. Guests are prohibited from bringing hard containers into Nationals Park

No. The Nationals Park has a strict no re-entry policy for all events.

Children 2 years of age and under are not required to have a ticket to enter Nationals Park. If attending without a ticket, they must sit on the lap of an accompanying adult.

Guests may obtain identification wristbands for their children, indicating their seat location in the event they become separated. Please visit any Guest Services location to speak to a Nationals Guest Experience Representative to obtain a wristband.

Nationals Park is located in Southeast Washington along the Anacostia River bounded by South Capitol Street to the west, N Street to the north, First Street to the east and Potomac Avenue to the south.

FedExField is the official home of the Washington Redskins, host of sporting events, major concerts, corporate events and now, your next event. No other venue in the area offers more to turn your event into an experience your guests will never forget.

General Tips:

Stadium gates for Redskins games, Bud Light Party Pavilion and Merrill Lynch Touchdown Club open three (3) hours prior to kickoff, general stadium gates open two (2) hours prior to kickoff. For all other events, gate opening times will vary.

On the Lower and Upper Levels, all alcohol sales will cease at the completion of the 3rd Quarter of Redskins games. Sales may be discontinued earlier at the discretion of management and for other events.


Still cameras, digital cameras and handheld video cameras are permitted at sporting events, as long as they do not interfere with a fan's gameday experience. Guests may not reproduce any shots for any commercial use without the written permission of the Redskins. For concerts, please refer to a concert’s page, for event specific restrictions.

Per NFL policy, fans will be able to carry the following style and size bag, package, or container at stadium plaza areas, stadium gates, or when approaching queue lines of fans awaiting entry into the stadium:

Bags that are clear plastic, vinyl, or PVC and do not exceed 12" x 6" x 12". (Official NFL team logo clear plastic tote bags will be available through club merchandise outlets or at nflshop.com/allclear).
One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag (Ziploc bag or similar).
Small clutch bags are permissible, if they are approximately 4.5" x 6.5", with or without a handle or strap can be taken into the stadium with one of the clear plastic bags.

All children ages two (2) and under may attend a Redskins game free of charge with a lap pass in lieu of an issued ticket.
